ABOUT

1st generation farmers using regenerative farming practices, working with nature to raise our livestock, we value knowing where our food has come from and the practices involved in raising it. We are passionate about healthy soil, healthy plants, healthy animals and healthy produce, and take pride in continually learning what more we can do to achieve this.

We produce local, pasture fed lamb boxes, which are raised on our farm with the utmost care and attention. Our animals are 100% grass fed, resulting in meat that is healthy and nutritious, which tastes amazing.

REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

We implement regenerative farming practices, working with nature when raising our livestock and maintaining our land, from which we see huge benefits and improvements.

Rotational mob grazing allows pasture to rest and roots to grow while spreading organic matter evenly.

Prioritising soil health allows topsoil to be regenerated and ground to cope well in changing seasons.

Soil disturbance is minimal allowing deeper roots to grow and ecosystems to thrive.

Increased sward biodiversity and protection of native flora and fauna, insects, pollinators and hedgerows.

Healthier, happier animals eating nutritious grasses resulting in nutritious produce.

FLOCK

We are gradually changing our much loved, original woolly mule mixture to a new flock of Exlana sheep.

Exlana are a low input, maternal, wool shedding breed.

They have been selected to have a natural worm resistance, are bred on grass based systems and help reduce chemical inputs, all aspects which fit with our regenerative approach.
